James Mullinger was one of the UK’s hardest-working comedians and the Comedy Editor of GQ magazine before relocating to New Brunswick in 2014. Since landing in Canada, he has taken the country by storm. He has sold out theatres nationwide and appeared on CBC’s The Debaters, in films, TV series, festivals, award shows and multiple stand-up specials. He was recently named one of Atlantic Canada’s Most Inspiring Immigrants and is currently completing a 68-date national tour that will culminate in a filmed stand-up special at the 1,023-seat Rebecca Cohn Auditorium in Halifax on Friday 17 April 2026.
Across his social media platforms, James’s comedy clips and promotional videos have amassed more than 70 million views.
His memoir Brit Happens: Living The Canadian Dream was released in 2022 to rave reviews, topped the Amazon Comedy Charts, was named Montreal Times Book of the Year, and won Best Non-Fiction Book at the New Brunswick Book Awards. His second book, Attention, Please! about his late-in-life ADHD diagnosis, will be published in 2026 by Canada’s oldest independent literary publisher, Goose Lane Editions.
