35 years on CBC radio featuring stories from The Bygone Days culled from 900 hours of interviews with people born between 1895-1925:blacksmiths, midwives, lighthouse keepers, rumrunners, 1st and 2nd WW veterans, coal miners and moonshine makers.
Written 2 books and two more presently being edited for publication.
Has received 6 heritage awards, the Order of PEI, and an Honorary Doctorate of Laws from UPEI. Lives in a 175 year old house in Bunbury with his wife Jill Birtwistle where they grow garlic, herbs and far too many green beans.
