At just 17 years old, Luka Hall stands as a prodigious fiddle-playing virtuoso hailing from Prince Edward Island. Since the age of 9, Luka has been captivating audiences with his mesmerizing performances, establishing himself as a rising star in the vibrant island trad music scene. With his latest release, “When I Saw You”, Luka has stepped into a brighter spotlight as not only an instrumentalist but also a vocalist. 2024 started off with a bang for Luka, with an opportunity to showcase with Shane Pendergast at the “You’re Roots Are Showing” festival in Dundalk, Ireland.
Joining Luka will be James Nelson from Lower Coverdale, NB. At just 16 years old, James Nelson is already making a name for himself in the traditional music scene around the Maritimes. James fell in love with traditional music starting guitar lessons at 4 years old, and fiddle lessons at 6. He has been inspired by guitar players such as Tom Gammons, Jake Charron, and Eddy Poirier among others. James has played on stages at Levee on the Lake, Rollo Bay Fiddle Festival, and at Dollywood in Tennessee. Currently, you will find him playing with the Lumber Jills, his sister Sara and Luka Hall.
