Tiffany Liu
Tiffany Liu, a accomplished Pipa player from China, has over two decades of experience and is recognized for introducing traditional Chinese music to Canadian audiences. Tiffany’s notable achievements include winning first place at the Northeast Three Provinces Traditional Instrument Invitational Competition in 2013. After moving to Canada in 2016, she has performed at prestigious events such as the Illumination Festival of Canada Games and PEI’s Canada Day celebrations.
In 2024, Tiffany began collaborating with percussion and guitar players, expanding her repertoire and creating exciting fusion performances. She also performed at major festivals like the Winnipeg Folk Festival and the Stan Rogers Folk Festival in 2024, and was selected for MusicPEI’s Diverse Voices Program.
In 2024, Tiffany won the MusicPEI Award for Achievement in World Music and was nominated for the East Coast Music Award. In March 2025, she received the Achievement in World Music award for the second consecutive year.
A global musician, Tiffany bridges cultures through her music, fostering cultural exchange and exploring the beauty of the Pipa and Asian music.
