TZU-CHENG WANG
Tzu-Cheng Wang is an accomplished musician, conductor, violinist, and erhu player with an international career spanning diverse musical traditions. A graduate of leading French conservatories, he has conducted and performed in world-renowned venues such as the Walt Disney Concert Hall and Lincoln Center, and has served as conductor of the Dream Lotus Symphony Orchestra since 2006.
His work bridges classical, jazz, and Taiwanese folk music, often highlighting cultural storytelling and innovation.
His 2022 album Hello, PEI! reflects his deep connection to Prince Edward Island, while his latest album Migtsema has earned major international recognition, winning two Platinum Prizes and two Gold Prizes at the World Classical Music Awards, along with three Silver Medals (Outstanding Achievement) at the Global Music Awards (USA) in World Music, Album, and Instrumentalist categories. He is also a multiple nominee at the Music PEI Awards, including 2023 nominations for Instrumental Recording of the Year and Musician of the Year, and a 2024 nomination for Achievement in World Music
