The Best Medicine Comedy Show returns to Florence Simmons Hall! This night of stand-up has become a highlight of our season. Hosting the evening is PEI’s Shawn Hogan, who has appeared with Halifax Comedy Festival, on CBC’s ‘Just For Laughs’, Sirius Xm’s ‘JFL Originals’, and more. New to the festival, Arthur Simeon is a Ugandan-Canadian who has been featured on ‘Just For Laughs’, The Debaters, HBO, Kevin Hart’s LOL Network, to name a few. He’s earned laughs all over the world with his infectious wit and comedy stylings. Returning for a 3rd season is Martha Chavez. The Nicaraguan-Canadian has toured the comedy club circuits in Canada, the US and Latin America. With two nationally televised stand-up specials, the Best Stand Up Comic of 2017 (Canadian Comedy Awards) has appeared on Just For Laughs, The Debaters, and has become a Small Halls favorite. Our headliner is PEI’s Patrick Ledwell who needs no introduction to Island audiences. ‘One of the funniest people in Canada. Period’ from CBC’s The Debaters host Steve Patterson, Patrick will remind us all that laughter really is the best medicine!
