Be transported back to the turn of the century at The Trailside Music Hall in Charlottetown with a jam packed show of stride and swing. PEI’s Max Keenleyside is a true musical marvel at the piano. Interpreting the greats from Jelly Roll to Joplin, he’s performed at CBC and headlined international jazz and ragtime festivals across North America, capturing fans with his spectacular show stopping stride. Returning to the festival are Les Royal Pickles, staples of the Montreal Jazz and Swing scene. Over the past decade, they have built a repertoire rich in history, as well as original compositions inspired by the New Orleans Hot Jazz pioneers of the 1920s and 1930s. With a range of sounds from brass to banjo, Les Royal Pickles have become an essential part of Montreal nightlife, festivals and dance competitions alike.
