Two terrific trad acts trade off on a toe-tappin’ Saturday night in Murray Harbour. Gammons and Knorr were each raised in the traditional music scenes of Western Canada and have followed their passions to Prince Edward Island. Guitarist Tom Gammons, one third of Inn Echo, along with Ray Knorr on fiddle take inspiration from Métis, Québécois, Acadian, Old Time and Scottish styles, releasing their debut EP in April 2025. Nova Scotia’s Mary Beth Carty and her trio share the evening. Named the 2024 Traditional Singer of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards, Mary Beth is a proficient multi-cultural act, playing guitar, accordion, bass, jaw harp, various percussion instruments, and seamlessly switching between French, English and Gealic traditional and original tunes.
